Prescott's downtown has earned the town the distinction as "Everybody's Hometown". Prescott was once the capital of Arizona.

Arcosanti, located a little more the 65 miles north of Phoenix and 34 miles southeast of Prescott, is a community constructed on Paolo Soleri’s design theory called arcology, which blends architecture with ecology. Paolo Soleri was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Visitors can take a tour of the town, attend workshops and even stay overnight. |

Arcosanti is supported by the Cosanti Foundation. Arcosanti has been under construction since 1970 by the community’s residents. Once completed, Arcosanti will be an example of a community that is efficient, frugal as well as being sensitive to the environment. |
