Prescott's downtown has earned the town the distinction as "Everybody's Hometown". Prescott was once the capital of Arizona.

Arcosanti, located a little more the 65 miles north of Phoenix and 34 miles southeast of Prescott, is a community constructed on Paolo Soleri’s design theory called arcology, which blends architecture with ecology. Paolo Soleri was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Visitors can take a tour of the town, attend workshops and even stay overnight.

Arcosanti is supported by the Cosanti Foundation. Arcosanti has been under construction since 1970 by the community’s residents. Once completed, Arcosanti will be an example of a community that is efficient, frugal as well as being sensitive to the environment.

Courthouse Square is located within the heart of Prescott. Built in 1916, the square is a popular place for town events and gatherings.
